Cats, Cats, Cats!

If you know anything about Japan it’s that cats are pretty much everywhere!

From clothing to cartoons, from food packaging to books, the Japanese really do love their cats. In art, literature, and culture, cats represent many things. In Japanese folklore, cats have protective powers and symbolize good luck and fortune, and we all know the famous waving cat figurine, the "maneki-neko" from storefronts and restaurants, promising blessings and good fortune to its owners and all who enter.
